The “Box” is located in an up-stairs guest room within close range of the master bedroom. It provides a bed where the human companion sleeps while future mom is getting acquainted with the box and settles into this new environment. Mom will start sleeping in it and taking her meals in it about a week prior to whelp.

During the whelping process (ordeal) there is a comfortable chair for the human helper to sit in (or out) throughout the process (ordeal). After the process (ordeal) is over, and life goes back to normal (yeah right!), it helps to have mom and babies close by in case you are summoned by any of them at any given time of day or night.
